Originally from India and now based in New York, Adhitavo is an electronic artist, songwriter, producer, recording engineer, and live performer whose work moves between songwriting, experimental electronic production, and multidisciplinary performance. A classically trained pianist, he began making music in India before developing a practice centered around electronic production, processed vocals, improvisation, and technology-driven live performance.

 

Adhitavo completed his master’s in Creative Media & Technology at Berklee College of Music’s New York campus, based at the historic Power Station Studios: a recording landmark whose rooms have hosted generations of influential artists, from David Bowie and Bruce Springsteen to Madonna and The Rolling Stones. Immersed in this environment and surrounded by Grammy-nominated producers and engineers, Broadway artists, songwriters, and sound designers working at the forefront of music technology and Ableton Live, his time at Berklee fundamentally changed the trajectory of his artistry. It pushed his work beyond conventional songwriting and production toward a multidisciplinary practice combining electronic performance, live vocal processing, improvisation, sound design, and audiovisual technology.

 

Before moving to New York, Adhitavo worked within India’s independent music scene as a songwriter, producer, and recording engineer, including at Gray Spark Audio in Pune, where the Clash of Clans India project “The Search” was recorded. As the track’s lead songwriter and producer, working with artist Raman Negi, Adhitavo helped create a campaign that garnered more than 7.7 million views and struck a nostalgic chord within India’s gaming community. He also produced Odyssey 147’s “Bluebird,” which reached #2 on Rolling Stone India’s Hit List.

 

As an assistant engineer, he worked on Easy Wanderlings’ Caught in a Parade, named Rolling Stone India’s #1 Indian EP of 2022 and recognized at the Indian Recording Arts Awards (IRAA). The project included “Enemy,” which was featured in the Amazon Original film Gehraiyaan, starring Deepika Padukone and produced by Dharma Productions, one of India’s leading film production companies. His own Hindi EP, Alag Sa Nasha, was presented through a live performance and interview on 94.3 Radio One in India.

 

His songwriting has since expanded internationally. Adhitavo co-wrote “Someone” by Filipino artist Pixie Labrador, released through Offshore Music/Sony Music Philippines. The project was presented at an official listening event at Sony Music’s headquarters in Manila, featured by Billboard Philippines, and became part of Pixie Labrador’s performances and tour across multiple cities in the Philippines.

 

In New York, Adhitavo has developed a live practice combining electronic music, performance technology, and visual media. He performed at Masala Mixtape at The Brooklyn Monarch, a South Asian music festival sponsored by Dil Mil that has previously featured Grammy-nominated artist Raja Kumari and notable South Asian acts including Shuba and Arjun.

 

For his Masala Mixtape performance, Adhitavo collaborated with Berklee alum Ellie Holliday, a visual designer at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, to create projection visuals integrated with his electronic set. The performance also featured Australian grit-pop artist Al Riordan, with whom Adhitavo collaborated on the song “Devil’s Date.” The track was premiered live at the festival as part of an Ableton-based performance combining vocals, electronic processing, live triggering, and visuals.

 

Adhitavo has also performed at the Brooklyn Experimental Electronic Showcase at Wonderville. His live work uses Ableton Live, looping, processed vocals, improvisation, and reactive visuals to reconstruct songs in real time rather than simply reproduce their studio versions.

 

He also served as music director and sound designer for Danny Ritz’s Science of Youth, a multidisciplinary audiovisual production presented to a sold-out audience at Annex Theatre in New York. The project brought together singers, musicians, actors, and multidisciplinary artists from Kenya, Australia, Italy, United Kingdom and the United States, with Adhitavo developing and performing the production’s music and electronic sound elements.

 

As an artist, his work draws from electronic and club music, dark soundscapes, processed vocals, and his background in songwriting and classical piano. His releases include the Hindi EP Alag Sa Nasha and his ongoing album project Incongruence, which explores identity, disconnection, asymmetry, and the tension between structure and improvisation.

 

Adhitavo is also a co-founder of Refuge Studios Brooklyn, an independent recording and production space supporting songwriting, recording, experimentation, and collaboration. Across his work as an artist, songwriter, producer, engineer, and performer, he continues to build connections between independent music communities in New York, India, and beyond.
